OEM DEVELOPMENT WORKFLOW
Compression Stockings OEM Process: From Brief to Bulk Production
A transparent project sequence helps buyers control specification, pressure performance, branding, documentation, timing and production risk before placing a bulk order.

1. Requirement and feasibility review
The project starts with a written brief covering the target market, intended channel, product category, pressure range, construction, size system, quantity and commercial presentation. Existing tech packs and approved reference samples can be reviewed where available.
MAIZI checks knitting feasibility, materials, testing route, labeling scope and packaging requirements together. Open points are resolved before sampling so later approvals refer to one controlled specification.
- Target market and intended channel
- EU, US or custom mmHg program
- Length, toe, size and top-band construction
- Yarn, color, logo and packaging
- Required reports and project documentation
2. Sampling and technical iteration
After the specification is confirmed, yarn, knitting parameters, dimensions and brand details are developed into a physical sample. A typical sample plan is about 14 days, but special yarns, molds, testing or packaging can change the schedule.
The first sample is a technical checkpoint, not only a visual mock-up. Fit, measurements, appearance, pressure and construction details are recorded and adjusted until the buyer approves a production reference.
3. Pressure, labeling and packaging approval
Pressure is reviewed at defined measuring points using the test method selected for the project. Labels, instructions for use, barcodes and pack artwork are checked against buyer-supplied content and the approved product specification.
High-resolution compliance documents are shared directly with qualified buyers when relevant to the project rather than published for unrestricted download.
| Approval gate | Buyer confirms | Factory confirms |
|---|---|---|
| Product | Fit, appearance and commercial acceptance | Construction, dimensions and repeatability |
| Pressure | Target range and acceptance criteria | Test method and measured result |
| Branding | Logo, colors and product naming | Application method and production feasibility |
| Packaging | Artwork, labels, IFU and barcode | Materials, dimensions and packing method |
4. Bulk production and quality gates
Bulk production begins after product and packaging approvals. A typical plan is about 40 days, confirmed against order size, yarn availability, packaging and the production schedule.
MAIZI applies checks to knitting parameters, appearance and dimensions, seam quality, pressure performance, packaging and traceability. The approved sample and signed specification remain the reference for production and final inspection.
- Knitting-parameter sampling
- Appearance and dimension inspection
- Seam and finishing checks
- Pressure-performance review
- Packing and traceability verification
MOQ and quotation information
Standard specifications can start from 200 pairs. Custom programs are commonly confirmed from 500 pairs per size and color, with final MOQ depending on construction, yarn, branding and packaging.
For an accurate quotation, include the destination market, specification, size breakdown, quantity by color, logo method and packaging brief. This lets MAIZI confirm both commercial terms and a realistic project schedule.
